COOKEL OKE GEORGE, ESQ

Mr. Cookel George’s formal education took him through John F Kennedy International School, Warri, Delta State, and the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University Zaria where he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Law and later the Nigerian Law School, Lagos Campus. He was admitted to the Nigerian Bar in 2012 after he graduated from both institutions with a Second Class Honours.
He has over nine years varied experience in litigation and advocacy. He commenced his career as a pupil Counsel at Simmons Coopers Partners, Victoria Island Lagos.
Thereafter he proceeded on his National Youth Service in 2012. After his service he was saddled with the enviable position as a state counsel at the Chambers of the Attorney General, Ministry of Justice, Benue State, before joining the firm of Obande , Obande & Co, Benue State. After a few stints there, he moved to horn his legal skills and advocacy at Akeme OJ & Co, Benue State. Cookel George relocated to Lagos in 2016 and spent a year in the Chambers of the Human Right Activist, Malachy Ugwummadu Esq. Thereafter; he proceeded to Matthew Burkaa & Co where he further sharpened his legal skills in drafting, corporate governance and advocacy. While in Lagos, Cookel also attended extensive trainings and development courses both in Nigeria and abroad on skill enhancement in core areas such as International law and relations, Oil and Energy law, Labor Law, Family Law, Bankruptcy Law, etc.
Cookel’s greatest skills are in Debt recoveries for Companies, agencies or private Investors/entrepreneurs. He has enabled these clients to recoup debts and restored same to financial health. He is also proficient in litigation and advocacy where he has acted for clients, settled briefs of arguments and appeared in civil and criminal matters from the lowest court to the Supreme Court in Nigeria. He is also very skilled in negotiating complex deals for clients with favourable outcomes.
Cookel has a multi-disciplinary background in diverse areas of Corporate Governance.
Upon his resignation from Matthew Burkaa & Co, he decided to set up Skyfall Partners & Consults.
He is part of the legal team of Mrs. Titilope Ejimagwa- a seasoned multi-level network marketer with well over 22 years of relentlessness and vast range of experience in marketing . she is also the first 5 Star Director of Longrich here in Africa.
He is also the advisor to JTAH Foundation, a non governmental organization based in Lagos.
Cookel is an active member of the Nigerian Bar Association and the International Bar Association.
Experiences:
He has engaged in company registrations of medical outlets in accordance with the rules and policy guidelines of the Corporate Affairs Commission. He is versed in Personal injury claims Criminal activity involving patient abuse ,Interactions with expert medical witnesses , Review of medical documents , files for pharmaceutical companies , Health care Claims processing, Medical Malpractice claims , he has formulated and reviewed the constitutive or reorganization documents of corporations. He has advised on medical negligence related litigation, Real Estate matters amongst others.
For instance , in his capacity as the lawyer to the Resident and Landlord’s Association, Tunde Afolabi Street, he urged the Lagos State Government to deploy the state’s special task force and KAI Brigade to curtail the excessive activities of certain dredgers and their trucks, causing mayhem on the Lagos , Ajah, corridor. He also enjoined the dredging operators to obey an earlier directive to cease operation until a suitable parking arrangement is made for them.
In a landmark judgment, emanating from a Federal High Court sitting in Makurdi, he was instrumental in the victorious outcome on party dispute suit brought before it by Hon. Sunday Odugbo against the All Progressive Congress (APC), the All Progressive Congress, Benue State Chapter. The court ordered the Party, APC and its State Chairman, Abba Yaro to refund to the Plaintiff, the nomination fee of N2.4m and another N1m for wasting the Plaintiff’s time and disenfranchising him from participating in an election he was due for.
Furthermore, he was in the Legal team in the Case of Julius Achaku vs Ministry of Lands Benue State. They represented the Claimant in some very intricate matters relating to Land Law. The matter ended in the Supreme Court wherein the apex Court brought an eight year legal Battle to a deserved end. We were victorious and was legally seized of over 200 buildings and appurtenances.
He was also in the victorious Legal team in the Fundamental Human Right action between Mr. Assose Terlumun vs Ottice Enonche at the High Court of Benue State wherein we expanded the frontiers of the rights of the average citizen whose rights are trampled.
Cookel is versed in arbitration proceedings at the Lagos Multi-Door Courthouse;
Preparation of various constitutive and operational documents for corporate and non-profit organisations.
He is presently the legal advisor to [vitadox pharmaceuticals ltd ]. there he gives advice on issues of licensing , trademark and infringement for pharmaceutical products and the following.
- Medical advice on wrongly prescribed drugs.
- Legal advice / opinion on drug error in pharmaceutical litigation exposition of legal rights to pharmacists on patients who are victims of harmful drugs leading to life altering situations.
- Communicating with healthcare experts on medical negligence and negotiating with them.
He is also the legal advisor to OJA automobiles International Ltd. He has succeeded in the legal drafting of sales contracts ensuring adherence to law-established rules and guidelines. He is also a frontline resource person in effective sales strategy. He has a proven track recording progressive sustainable financial growth through boosting sales and forging strong relationships with clients. He Conducts research to identify new markets and customer needs. Promoting Company’s products/services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives
Milestones:
Through the firm, we have registered over forty companies and business names in Nigeria. We have helped various business entities in recovery of their debts. Foremost amongst them are (STRUQTA HOMES) -a real estate developing firm, Sterling Bank Plc.

JULIUS AZUKA JAMES, ESQ
Mr. Julius James formal education took him through Oxford International School, Kaduna and the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University Zaria in 2005 where he graduated with a second class upper in Civil law in the year 2009 and later the Nigerian Law School, Iagos. He was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2010.
He has over 11 year's cognate experience in litigation and advocacy. He commenced his career at G. E. Ezeuko SAN & Co at Onitsha. Anambra State as a Counsel undergoing National service and further proceeded to Lank Odoginyan Chambers, Kaduna as an Associate Counsel. He worked briefly at ZANETA Barristers & Solicitors in Victoria Island Lagos, and later joined T. Akinbiyi SAN & CO.
In 2014, he joined the Lagos State Judiciary and worked as Judicia Assistant, Research and Counsel to various High Court judges where honed his skills in legal research, arbitration, mediation and litigation.
In 2019 he joined Ajuba Nigeria Limited a subsidiary Of CCECC Nigeria Limited as their company legal Adviser before teaming up to become a Partner Advocates D. Chosen in 2020.
He has attended local and international training on various areas of law, one of which is the General Certificate Course on Intellectual Property from World Intellectual Property Organisat101 (WIPO) (Geneva, Switzerland) General training on US C-Corp and Technology law from LAWSIKHO (India).
He is a Legal Adviser to various companies and incorporated trustees. He is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association and a volunteer member of Amnesty International.
SARAH ERUBE, ESQ
Sarah Erube graduated from the University of Ilorin in 2010, where she obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Law. She was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2012.
She had gained experience in various law firms and has worked with Linchpin Technologies Ltd. where she proposed and advised clients on their employment relations and drafted of various legal documents including agreements.
Her areas of expertise include Medical Law, Corporate Law, Intellectual property Law, Real Property Law, Conveyancing Law, Media and Branding Law.
She gives advice, on foreseeable medical negligence, implied consent in medical malpractice claims, medical malpractice statute of limitations etc.. advice on ethics and professional conduct in medicine Medical regulatory affairs, Outlines the violations of patient confidentiality.
These entails health insurance issues, Payment disputes, working with individuals who have issues with healthcare services; Communicating with healthcare experts on medical negligence and negotiating with them. Sarah Jonathan is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association.
MONICA MGBOCHA COOKEL
Monica is a true administrative professional who plays an integral role in business and other organizational environments. She is a goal oriented fellow who maintain and organize office tasks, implement procedures and carry out additional administrative duties, depending on the nature of their employment.
She occupies a pivotal role as a cheerful receptionist with a capacity to greet clients, customers and visitors. She also answers and direct phone calls, organizing documents and paperwork, maintaining a filing system Assisting supervisors and staff with company projects.
MR. OYEKUNLE LAWAL
He has over 7 years’ experience in legal and related services where he served in different capacities ranging progressively from Office Assistant to Senior Care Assistant and then as a Litigation officer.
His supervisory role relates principally on files and case management in the Chambers, He also help to organize the data behind legal proceedings, formatting briefs, pleadings and other legal documents, keeping track of attorney time records and billing, filing legal documents (e-filing etc, transcribing dictations and corresponding with clients. He is a serious minded individual.
